About Watch And Review It
We publish long-form reviews for viewers in Singapore and the wider region — clear prose, honest scores, no click-chasing.
What we do
Watch And Review It is a small editorial desk on Middle Road, Singapore. We started in 2020 when a group of former arts-section contributors wanted a home for reviews that treat television films as seriously as cinema releases — especially true-crime docudramas that circulate under multiple titles and confuse buyers on streaming storefronts. You will find us on watchandreviewit.pro.
Our flagship page on Million Dollar Murder follows that mission: one film, one thorough review, cast and scene notes, and a single outbound purchase link for readers who want to watch immediately. We do not operate a newsroom ticker or aggregate trailers. Depth beats volume.
Editorial standards
Every review is watched in full at least once by a named editor on our team. We note runtime, content rating, and language options as listed by retailers at the time of publication. When a film adapts real events — as Million Dollar Murder does with the Ted Ammon case — we distinguish on-screen dramatisation from public record and say so plainly.
Scores are calibrated internally on a ten-point scale and explained in prose, not hidden behind stars alone. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage. If we link to Amazon or another retailer, it is for viewer convenience; we do not display affiliate commission badges on this site.
Singapore English (SG-EN)
Our copy uses Singapore English spelling conventions where they differ from American English (for example, "colour" in metadata, "organise" in essays) while keeping film titles in their original release form. Dates follow day-month-year in body text and ISO format in structured data. Office hours are always stated in Singapore Time (SGT, UTC+8).
Who reads us
Most of our readers find us through search while comparing true-crime titles on regional streaming services. They want to know whether a two-hour TV movie is worth a Saturday evening, whether the cast is recognisable, and whether the plot spoils itself if you already know the case. We write for that practical curiosity.
How we choose films
We prioritise titles that arrive with naming confusion — different titles in different territories, re-releases on digital storefronts, or true-crime stories already well covered in American press but under-explained for Southeast Asian viewers. Million Dollar Murder is a textbook example: the Amazon listing, the IMDb entry, and older cable guides do not always agree on title or runtime. Our job is to reduce that friction before you spend money.
We are not a discovery engine for every new release. When we add another review, it will follow the same template: context, cast, selected scenes, honest score, one primary watch link. That restraint keeps the Site fast, accessible without JavaScript, and easy to maintain from a single Bugis desk.
Accessibility and format
Pages use semantic HTML, skip links, visible focus states, and colour contrast targeted at WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Images include descriptive alt text — cast headshots and thematic photographs are credited where required. If you encounter a barrier we missed, tell us and we will treat it as a priority fix.
Corrections and contact
Mistakes happen — especially with international release titles. If we misstate a runtime, credit, or legal outcome, email [email protected] or call +65 6706 3841 during office hours. We aim to acknowledge correction requests within two business days and update the page when the error is verified.
